Geraldine Kidwell of Kentucky is an acknowledged master in the field of sugar art and is internationally renowned for her contributions to the culinary arts. She became involved in the world of cakes by creating various confectionary art for her three children, friends, and neighbors, then a full business evolved into what is now a designer wedding cake business known as Artistry In Cake of Kentucky LLC.
Geraldine's quest to learn led her to Mexico City, Mexico, to study under the direct supervision of sugar art master, Marithe de Alvarado. Her desire to live up to her mentor's expectations by creating the impossible in delicate sugar flowers, flowing drapes, and distinguished architectural designs has gained her recognition from her peers around the world in the field. A charter member of I.C.E.S., the International Cake Exploration Societe, Geraldine has served two terms as the Kentucky Representative; served on two convention committees, and has spent three years on the International Board of Directors. During 1994, she served as the International Liaison' th 1995-1996 she served as Chairman of the Board and had the honor of being elected president of the international organization. During 2002, she was inducted into the I.C.E.S. Hall of Fame and in 2005 appeared as a judge on one of the Food Network Cake Challenges.
She has written numerous cake decorating articles and instructions, including her first two books, Gum Paste Figures and Fashionsand Cakes of Love which was published in Lima, Peru. She has been a featured writer in the I.C.E.S. newsletter, Mail Box News, Louisville Bride, SO Weddings, British Sugarcraft (England), and Tortas Con Estilo (Peru). Geraldine is currently a contributing writer for American Cake Decorating magazine and is co-editor of the "Kids in the Kitchen" segment of Mail Box News.
Her work reflects her love for the art and each new cake is viewed as a challenge that will bring happiness to someone on their special celebratory occasion. From Geraldine's new book, Cakes for All Occassions.




Paul Everman got his start in BBQ at the first ever Madison Ribberfest in the Backyard Division, where he won first place in Pork. He has been in every Madison Ribberfest since then, winning numerous awards in both Backyard and Professional Divisions. Paul has competed and received awards in Indiana, Tennessee, Ohio, and Florida. His most recent accomplishments include Reserve Grand Champion in the 1st Ohio Open, an Ohio State Championship contest, as well as Reserve Grand Champion in this years Lakeland Florida Pigfest. This past fall, Paul was fortunate enough to be selected as an assistant team cook in the 19th Annual Jack Daniels Invitational World Championship BBQ Competition in Lynchburg, Tennessee. He aslo competes in Kansas City Barbecue Society certified competitions, and is a Certified Kansas City Barbecue Judge.
